Kirstin graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2001 and joined Okeford Veterinary Centre in Okehampton Devon. For four years she carried out both a large and small animal work. In 2005 she became a solely small animal veterinary surgeon and began to develop a keen interest in dermatology. She gathered a large and varied internal caseload and a wealth of experience with excellent results and owner satisfaction.

In 2017 Kirstin gained her CertAVP in Dermatology through Liverpool University and in 2018 was awarded RCVS Advanced practitioner status. Kirstin now accepts dermatology referrals from Devon and Cornwall with the support Ciara Finnigan RVN who holds a BSAVA Merit Award in Veterinary Nursing Dermatology.

Kirstin sees dermatological cases caused by infectious agents, allergic skin disease, neoplasia, metabolic abnormalities, behaviour, diet  and those which are either autoimmune related or immune –mediated. Her particular interests lie in autoimmune and allergic skin disease. Kirstin offers clients and local vets an email support service.
